Bikemap in your language? We need your help!
Translating Bikemap is easier than you think. There's a translation server at translate.toursprung.com that lists "projects" such as Bikemap, Inlinemap, Runmap, etc. We are especially looking forward to Dutch, Portuguese, Hungarian and Rumanian!
First: You need an account there. Click "register" at the top right corner.
Improve existing languages
Second: To improve existing languages (or translate some untranslated parts) simply select the language on translate.toursprung.com and then the project you want to translate:
-
"General" - that's the most important one, contains all text that is shared between Bikemap, Inlinemap and Runmap
-
"Bikemap" - contains all words that are bike specific ("biker", bike route", etc.)
-
"Inlinemap", "Runmap" and "Wandermap" - contain these words for those sports
- All the other projects ("comments", "catalogues", etc.) are modules that are used somewhere on our platforms. They are less important!
Third: Now browse to the text string you want to translate. You can flip through pages or search. When you've found it click on the row and the button "Edit" appears.
Fourth: Now change the translation in the text field (or add a new one if empty) and press "Suggest". We will review it and add it as soon as possible.
Add new languages
To create a new language we have to add it to the server first, so please get in touch with us at support@bikemap.de.
All the rest works as described above.
