- Exit at Km 2 from Fernão Dias heading to Joanópolis (this part is paved and should be around 20 km).

- After Joanópolis you'll pass at Cachoeira dos Pretos (big waterfall).

- Keep always on your left direction to Monte Verde (the map doesn't show a road, but it's unpaved and in good conditions)
