Day 7: Hawkesbury to Ottawa

The day dawned gloomy, cold and raining, and the rain would last all day to Ottawa.

From Hawkesbury we followed quiet back roads to Rockland for lunch, and then up a short, steep climb (14%) followed by a 10% short climb, and along country roads, around golf courses, to Cumberland and a return to built-up suburbia.

My GPS decided to quit (too much rain?) and the rest of the route is reconstructed from (poor) memory.

We followed the Aviation Parkway and bikeways, with a few streets, through Ottawa back to Westboro, our starting point.

Beau parcours, beau pavé et beaux décors.   Charme de la rivière Outaouais.
