All along the Canal-du-Rhin-au-Marne this route is real flat. Pavement is quite good, and many parts are made new recently.

The end is at the Saverne lock which is a technical speciality due to the water tank involved (to save 1/3 of the rare water compare to the normal locking process).

A path well appropriate for families.

Dieser Weg geht immer am Canal-duRhin-au-Marne entlang und ist wirklich flach. Das meiste ist gut gebaut, und etliches wurde erst in letzter Zeit neu asphaltiert.

Der Weg endet an der Schleuse Saverne, die mit ihrem Wassertank eine technische Spezialität beinhaltet (spart 1/3 des raren Wassers, verglichen mit einem normalen Schleusungsprozess).

Sehr gut für Familien geeignet.
