Ein schwerer Klassiker. Der Mont Ventoux steht dreimal den Fahrern im Weg. Erst von Malaucène und dann zweimal von Bédoin.



Der schwerste Anstieg auf den Mont Ventoux. Insgesamt ist die Strecke 24 km lang mit ein wenig einrollen von Bedoin aus.

Anspruchsvolle Tour für Frühaufsteher, aber bei schönem Wetter sehr lohnenswert.

Beginnt mit den Gorges de la Nesque, der Lavendel-Stadt Sault,

Mittagspause inder Biobäckerei in Savoillan, romantisches Dorf, abseits des Tourismus-

Im Toulourenc-Tal hinter dem Mont Ventoux nach Malaucene, dort Abendessen und dann den letzten kleinen Hügel zurück nach Bedoin.

Wer ein paar Kilometer mehr vertragen kann (es werden dann 105 km insgesamt, statt 89) wagt in Montbrun den Abstecher zur Festung nach Aulan. dem Oberlauf der Toulourenc entlang durch eine wildromantische, einsame Schlucht.

Ein unvergesslicher Tag in der Haute Provence ist garantiert.

Eine machbare Tour, nie sehr steil, aber die 1300 Höhenmeter sollte man sich erst am nach einer Woche Training zumuten.

Leichtes Rennrad und leichtes Gepäck empfohlen.

schöne Runde von Bedoin durch die Gorges de la Nesque, ca 20 km mit moderater Steigung (3-4%), Kaffeepause in Sault am Kirchplatz

zurück über D1 - La Gabelle - Flassan - Bedoin.

oder andersrum, da Abfahrt nach Flassan sehr rau ist.

schöne, ruhige, überwiegend glatte Strassen.

Besonders gut rollt das Stück zwischen Malaucene und Bedoin

Vertrek it Bedoin. Middagmaal in heerlijk restaurant in Monieux (aanrader. Wandelingetje in Sault. Drankje in Chalet Renard. Terug naar de hangmap in Bedoin klaar voor het aperitief.



Start in Bédoin, zum Gipfel über die Südrampe via Le Chalet-Reynard, Abfahrt über Malaucène, zurück nach Bédoin

Über Malaucene - Baumont-du-Ventoux zur Nordseite des Mt. Ventoux, hier entlangdes Le-Toulourenc-Tales. Der Anstieg über die Serpentinen nach Brantes ist ein Muss.

Weiter nach Sault und durch die Gorges de la Nesque (herrliche 20 km lange Abfahrt) zurück nach Bédoin.

Le Ventoux par Bédoin c est pas des traversées et des virages en lacet, c est un face à face avec la pente, un bras de fer avec la montagne ... il faudra pouvoir compter sur des jambes en acier et ne pas craindre d'avoir les poumons en feu ... tels des hauts fourneaux!



C'est la montée mythique du Mont Ventoux.

Profitez du Chalet Reynard pour faire le plein d'eau ou d'énergie car les 6 derniers km risquent de solliciter tout ce que vous avez dans les jambes et le mental.  La pente variera entre 6 à 8% mais le vent pourrait brouiller les cartes...  La magie de ce lieu aux allures lunaire devrait vous faire oublier les souffrances.

Bedoin to Mont Ventoux

The last Alpine mountain ridge before the Rhône plain, the Mont Ventoux can be seen almost from everywhere in Provence. Its isolated position gives it a gigantic and dominating prescence. In all directions youll have no higher peaks. The name Mont Ventoux means windy mountain, and some bikers will know why. One of the thoughest cols to do in France...

Starting in the centre of Bédoin  we will take the D974, keeping the mountain on our left. This is anice warm up for what is to come, so keep your breath and enjoy the vineyard. Passing through the villages of  Les Baux and Sainte Colombe, the climb gets slightly more steep. Through Les Bruns and on to St Estève and its famous bend which used to be even a lot steeper than it is now. Now youre on the Ventoux and you will know you are for the rest of the climb. The Mont Ventoux does not give you any rest until you reach the Chalet Renard with the climb never under 8% and some long  stretches of 10%+. There is no respite until you reach the chalet, where the climb gives you the opportunity to get some breath(or maybe even more if you opt for a little rest at the Chalets). Shame on you though if you do as we still have more to go and briefly it is around 7%... though not for too long, cause the climb gets harder again nearing the top. You may consider yourself lucky if there is no wind trying to blow you from your saddle. Try to enjoy the view on the Provence to your left while going in and out of the mountain amidst a lunar - lunatic? - landscape. Take the last hairpin to the right at 10%+ and youre there. Congratulations!
