Schöne Runde von Gigaro bei Croix-Valmer durch das Massif des Maures

Awesome summer ride that I do on holiday, nearly every day for 2 weeks.

Has everything, fantastic runs through the provence countryside with superb eye opening smells.

Nice profile ride as well, with plenty of ups and downs with a nice workout  climbing the "Col Du Vignon" at 352 m.

Short brush with the traffic entering/leaving St Tropez, but a buzz all the same overtaking the static Porche and Ferrari's. Passes through or near following villages;

- Ramatuelle

- Gassin

- Porte Grimaud

- Plan de la Tour

- Garde-Freinet

- Grimaud

- Cogolin

- La Croix-Valmer

- Gigaro

Doesn't get better than that !!

This route can be used in both directions. If you start at La Croix Valmer on D93 - brilliant for road bike, in June you will see only 3-5 cars passing you, fresh mountain and see air and very good road. You should be ready to go uphill but not very dificult. Alot of turnes left right, you will have smile on your face until the roundabout crossing D61. Just follow D93! Then you will have a lot of straights and a bit more cars, but you will have youur own space on the road specially designed for you, so cars are not disturbing you, and you are not disturbing cars, you just have your own lane on the right.
