Annecy  -  Col de la Croix Fry  -  Annemasse  -  Genf  -  Gex  -  Col de la Faucille



Schöne Alpenetappe über den 2000m hohen Col de la Madeleine. Super Anfahrt von Annecy aus via Radweg nach Albertville. Von dort aus geht es parallel zur Autobahn durch kleine Ortschaften dem Tal entlang bis es irgendwann steil los geht. Es geht gleich zur Sache!!

Le point de départ n'est pas assez précis.

L'adresse du Parc des Sports n'est pas connue avec exactitude.

Certains itinéraires manquent de précision, notamment le retour à partir d'Ugine, la numérotation des routes n'est pas simple à trouver sur une carte, même IGN.

We start in the beautidul town of Annecy heading to Faverges where we turn right to climb Col de Tamié. Around 9 kms and not difficult, but a very pleasant road. Well worth the detour. Have your cameras ready as we near the top where we get a peek of  the beautiful Abbaye de Tamié, famous for it’s cheese. This Cistercian Abbey was founded in 1132!

Back down Tamié via the same road and then to  Marlens to climb Col de l’Epine (not to be confused with the like-named Col near Chambéry).

About 7kms averaging 7% but this quiet route climbs up the side of the mountain with incredible views below and in the distance. And over the top leads to a seemingly secret little paradise valley. 

A good idea to refuel in this section as the brutally steep Col de la Forclaz de Montmin is approaching. 

The south side of this climb is not too long, but incredibly steep and truly beautiful. The treat at the end of this climb is the magnificent views of Lake Annecy below. There is a take off point for hang-gliding and parapenting.It’s a fast, fun descent back towards Annecy. A dream circuit
