Routes in France / Rhone-Alpes / Morzine

Ride based on Route Des Grand Alpes but with few alterations. Start Morzine as route Thonon to Le Gets very busy. Added Col de Joux Plane out of Morzine. From Barcelonnette add Cime de la Bonnette and Col d'Allos. After Col de la Cayolle divert to head south and end in Cannes - last day stunning but hard ride through Provence. Would do this ride again tomorrow but reverse the route for a change - maybe this would be even harder??!!

Great loop from Morzine in the local cycling guide. Col de Ramaz was on the 2010 Tour de France route.  The steepest part is the 2-3km before Sommand.  An alternative return is to go over the Col d'Encrenaz - sounds bad, but actually its not much worse than going back down to Pont des Gets and then ascending back to Les Gets again.

Day trip(?) from Morzine, via the beautiful waterfront of Lake Geneva and returning over the pas de Morgins - tops out at 1,369m, but 930 metres of ascent
