Routes in México / Puebla / San Francisco

Quer durch San Fracisco mit mehreren Steigungen und einem kleinen Schlussanstieg.

Circle san francisco, laker merced to sutro heights to embarcadero to bayview/monster park, back to the mission

bikemap.net reworked the route around College of Marin... those little loops are bogus.  Sorry!

Base to North End, Golden Gate Bridge, via Lincoln Park

Base to Lake Merced (via 36th Ave.; JFK Drive; Beach Chalet; Great Highway)

This is a leisurely ride that I frequently take from the Panhandle to Sloat and back again.

Quintessentiel north bay ride from the city. Easy, curvy and beautiful

From my parking spot after work... Fairly smooth loop around Lake Merced in San Francisco

Take a scenic tour around San Francisco and get a taste of the SF Grand Prix pro race course (an optional climb up Fillmore Street) if you dare! Light riders travel to the beach along the Great Highway and have the option to end at BART. Others enjoy stretches of the San Francisco scenic drive, including Twin Peaks.

More information on the 2010 Amgen Tour of California

The start is suppose to be at Pier 30/32 before following the Bay to Breakers running course across SF to the coast through Golden Gate Park. From there, the stage is expected to retrace last year's route to Santa Cruz with a couple changes.

It was announced there will be one additional ascent of the Santa Cruz Mtns this year in addition to Tunitas Creek and Bonny Doon. Old La Honda has been guessed. Anyone know for sure?

Also, the finish should be on the Broadwalk.

My proposed route for stage 3 of the 2010 Tour of California.  It was announced there would be an extra climb in this year's route, and I am proposing after the climb of Tunitas Creek Road that the pack descend King's Mountain Road and subsequently climb Old La Honda Road as that extra climb.  Then I have them descend the narrow, twisting west side of Old La Honda, continuing down 84 to the coast, and south on 1.  I further add the scenic detour of Swanton Road, an extra bump into Davenport before the climb of Bonny Doon.

This is the route for the annual "Tour of the 20's" put on by Gary Gellin.  The 20's doesn't stand for the 1920s, it stands for 20% or greater grade, and it hits quite a few. Even a few over 30% grade (including one that is 35%).

Even though tha majority of this ride is on pavement, it is strongly recommended that you bring a mountain bike.  Road bikes, even with triples, generally are too high a gear for some of these hills (unless your legs are as large as George Hincapie's).

Note - this route includes a little bit at the start and finish as I rode to/from this ride from my house.  The official start is the Marina Green parking area.

Chasing Daylight Tour - Race

100 miles of beautiful San Francisco peninsula scenery.

Starting in Noe Valley across the bridge. Slight detour in presidio due to trialthlon event closure.

First 10.2 Miles: 1 hour 20 mins or so.

Remaining 23 Miles: 2 hours and 5 mins or so.

Total ride time: 3 hours 54 minutes, including walking up some of the hills--two smallish ones and part of the big one up to the bridge from Sausalito, and the big Clement hills, as well as a little bit on Lincoln in the Presidio.  Planning to do some hill training, for sure!  But also, I've had allergies and was not breathing as well as usual.
