Routes in UK / UK / Swansea

went for my usual ride down caswell and back round mayals, but decided to go for an adventutre up the cycle track beyond the railway inn.  the wind was with me and i just went on and on, down to penclawdd and then llandrhidian.  at this point i started thinking i'd better turn back as i was out of fluids and had the inevitable wind to face coming home.  the trip home was a killer - as the wind was strong as hell and i was desperate for some water.  battled through it and dragged myself up to my folks home for many pints of squash and bananas!  i only stopped at cattle grids & traffic lights which made for a tough ride.  next time i'll take more fluids and fuel...and only go when it ain't windy.  all in all a good ride, taking in some great views, a good mix of flat and climbage and some beautiful countryside.

Don't follow the sustrans signs at port tennant!

this is my favourite regular ride.  plenty of hills, as well as taking in the mumbles to begin, going through caswelland back through clyne woods.

lately i've been doing it in just over an hour which i'm pretty pleased with.

if the weather is nice then i'm on this route!

Swansea to Cardiff on cycle route 4 & 8.  This follows the Celtic Trail East from Swansea, then moved onto the Taff Trail from Pontypridd down to Cardiff.
