Good training route in south suburbs. Uses portions of the C-470 and South Platte River Greenway bike paths. Gains about 150 m in elevation toward the southern end.


Lower portions of Deer Creek Canyon can have some traffic at rush hours and on weekends.


Good hill training route in winter. Roads in Highlands Ranch get a lot of sun and so stay mostly free of ice.


Water  and Gatorade usually available for a donation in the coolers at  the Deer Creek Grange Hall turnaround point.
