The route: through Lafayette, climbing Reliez Valley Road and Franklin Canyon to get to Crockett (rest stop 1) then over the Carquinez bridge to Vallejo and then over to Freeway 680 via a nice country road (rest stop 2), then following the freeway to Fairfield, lunch at the Jelly Belly Factory, back for another rest stop before crossing the bridge (this time the Benicia Bridge) and heading back to Orinda.
