Routes in United States / Minnesota / Duluth
This is one of the MS-150 routes, and works very well. It starts in Proctor, a southern suburb of Duluth, and takes the rider to Blaine in the norther Twin Cities suburbs (home of the local velodrome). It uses a combination of bike trails and low-traffic roads.
Vermillion is pave-lite, but scenic as all get out.
Not sure if Billings St reflects where I went in the Sup forest, but it was beautiful, gravel.
Lakewood is a gentle climb, road is medium-cruddy. Zimmerman Road awesome smooth as ever. Arnold has the cool house and the church, and E Calvary is a neat neighborhood with bar etc.
I Love Jean Duluth! There, I've said it.
Pleasantview would be heckafun to go up, very steep.
Eagle lake has really pretty views from the packed dirt road, N Church road is nice kind of technical, convenience store at bend in RLR.
Schultz is buttery smooth W of Rice Lake Rd Before turning cruddy.
JD Bumpy N of Lismore as always. Pequawan is a long haul, could have used company. Alger Grade Rd OK.
