At one point in the route, you can look across the valley for a clear view back to West Mountain.

The route starts at West Mountain Ski Resort and follows the shore of Glen Lake, then crosses the Champlain Canal, and plays tag with the Hudson River. The terrain varies for an engaging ride on quiet country back roads. At several points you can see for miles with only a modest climb to earn the view.

Multiple Sclerosis 2011 'Follow the Foothills' Bike Tour Century route. The route starts at West Mountain Ski Resort, follows the shore of Glen Lake, and crosses the Champlain Canal. After the rest stop in Argyle, the route climbs over a ridge line and descends to Cossayuna Lake. Take in views along the Battenkill and the Hudson River before returning to West Mountain. The terrain is generally rolling with several gradual climbs that carry you into the next scenic valley.
