The Tour Down Under is the first stop in World Cycling after being granter ProTour status - the first race outside of Europe to be given this ranking.

Elite international athletes race around South Australia over a week in January in a bid to win the right to wear the Ochre Leaders Jersey.

The 2008 Tour Down Under will be held from 20-27 January.

The short climb up Sherwood Tce gets your heartrate up. The climb to Mt Osmond Golf Club keeps it there. Use the bikeway along side Mt Barker Road to get you back on to Cross Road.

Good mixed ride with some nice hills and recovery areas in between. All paved roads. Use the bike path along side the expressway back into the city.

Take care through the Britannia roundabout then head out Kensington Road. From Penfold Road its head down and bust your lungs climbing to the top.
