Routes in United States / Oregon / Beaverton

This is my default afternoon ride after work if I have an hour to spare. It starts with a long decline down Murray Blvd. Then a steep hill up Scholls-Ferry to get out in the country-side west of Beaverton.

From there on, it's mostly flat and good for testing your time trial skills.

The finish is not ideal for a cool-down, since you have to climb up Murray again. But that's what you get when you live on top of a hill.

Kohler and I are debating riding our bikes to Manzanita for this summer's family vacation.

The ride from home to Xan's grandparents, who live close to council crest.

This gets steep from Terwiliger to Fairmount. A good climb.

The first portion of Reach The Beach from Beaverton to Amity.

This was a modified bike route (the short out-and-back on Scholls) so I could squeeze in a fourth threshold set before entering Beaverton.

A great 1-hour ride. The climb up Laurel Rd is great.

THis route adds some hill climbs to my standard weekend route.

This is my long training ride

Follow Gales Creek road north through the beautiful valley all the way to Hwy 6.  Little to no shoulder in places.  Narrow country road.  Light traffic. Turn East (right) on Hwy 6  to Stafford Rd.  Turn left on Strohmayer an continue South.  Road changes to Kansas City Rd and then to Thatcher.  Thatcher returns you to your starting location.

This is a route that starts out in Forest Grove and goes East to Stringtown road and continues over Plumlee Hill.  The route then goes around Hagg Lake and through the small town of Gaston and returns back to Forest Grove via Spring Hill and Fern Hill Road.  A great ride in the country and around Hagg Lake.

Beautiful ride starting from Forest Grove through the country to Rood Bridge Park and back north through Hillsboro.

Out to Bald Peak SP and back through Hillsboro.
