(3) As per this map, between mile-44 and mile-45 you will cross from College St. onto North Franklin St. and will pass the Depot St. on the right. Avoid going further on the North Franklin St. by turning right onto Depot street and then going onto Cambria St. and crossing the North Franklin Street. Could not make that part of the route on this map as retracing the path somehow is not allowed. Check the "Shawsville - Floyd - Montgomery (Allegheny Springs Loop) " route for this part.

Locals will know this as the Alleghany Springs Ride with the 4 mile loop (Roanoke Mountain) to the Rice Paddy. Convenience stores are spaced along the route for food and drinks.

Start at Patrick Henry High School. Head out to Bradshaw Road. Turn right onto 460 towards Shawsville. Head up Alleghany Springs. Once you get to the Blue Ridge Pakway go North towards Roanoke. Hit the Roanoke Mountain Four Mile Loop and continue on to the Deer Crossing just past 24 in Vinton. Go through downtown Roanoke and back to PH.
