Route Illegal bike lane from Miskolc (Center)- toDiősgyőr downtown  

This bike lane is illegal and running in one way streets. Therefore, legally you should be banned by the Police for riding it. However, local activists have marked the route with cycle lane marks and low traffic usually does not pose any danger to the cyclist here. From downtown this is an easy way to reach the Bükk National Park by bikes. Always beware in intersections, be ready to stop, because only a fragment of Hungarian drivers posses socialized driving skills. All in all, low density of traffic, speed limits and the relatively high number of cyclists make this route fairly safe.
