Thanks for posting this! But it was already stated the 2010 route would contain an additional climb relative to 2009. What do you think that will be? I have my conecture (OLH), but whether that's realistic...

Just did some quick research. Yes, you are right about the added climb: http://www.santacruzsentinel.com/ci_13624273 Your guess about Old La Honda is a good one, but it might be too narrow/twisty for AEG's liking. Also, read in the same article the finish will be on the Broadwalk in Santa Cruz which is different from last year. I've added the Broadwalk finish to the map but have left out the new climb until we have a better idea of which one it is.

I put a variant of steephill's map here. Just for fun, I also sent them up Swanton Road heading into Davenport just prior to Bonny Doon Road. It's a nice little climb on a very scenic road, a good alternative to staying on Highway 1 the whole way. But they'll probably take the more direct route.

I heard that OLH has encountered from Woodside residents, and is at this point unlikely. Bummer. Silly people.

If I was the boss they would ride up Tunitas, down Kings Mt., up Page Mill, down Alpine and into Cruz via the coast and B.D. Rd. That would be worthy of a Grand Tour.

Why don't they ride down Main Street in Half Moon Bay and then go up and over Higgins and then up and over Lobitos before climbing Tunitias?

It looks like I was close, but Page Mill instead of Old La Honda. See Bruce H's blog.
