Route Mount Hamilton Road to summit  

This is the traditional route up Mt Hamilton Road done each Thanksgiving by the Low-Key Hillclimbs.  Starting on the outer fringes of San Jose sprawl, the first climb of three is sparse residential.  A short descent at Grant Park, then the second climb, the shortest of the three.  Then a third descent crosses a bridge with a nice view of the observatory above, oh-so-close but still more than six miles of riding away.  This last climb of the three is the toughest, testing a rider's endurance, before an easy-to-miss right-hander leads to the summit with its not-to-be-missed panoramic views.
