Route LEJOG Day 11 - Lochranza YH to Glencoe YH (via Lochranza - Claonaig ferry)  

A longer alternative (102 miles) but spectacular route between Lochranza and Glencoe is to cycle the Kintyre Peninsula and then along the south east edge of Loch Awe and going up through Glen Orchy (I half expected to see Mel Gibson & the cast of Braveheart sweeping down on me), followed by Rannoch Moor and on through Glencoe to the youth hostel. Brilliant and breathtaking!
