I think you got this one right Alan. I cycled Glencoe to Inverness but Inverness YH which, although friendly, was a little large for my liking, had an international flavour to it, but fell down on basics like missing light bulbs and wash basin plugs. It also meant a long haul on my next leg to Tongue YH missing beautiful Carbisdale Castle YH. Next time maybe?
Thanks for the comment. The route through the Great Glen was not pleasent due to the heavy traffic. I agree with you about inverness YH but unfortunately Carbisdale castle was even worse. It looks great but its big noisy and was missing things like cutlery in the members kitchen
LEJOG Day 12 (15 day route) - Glencoe YH to Loch Ness YH
We crossed the Loch onto quieter roads (cyclists are free) travelling to Fort William on the West of the Loch. The main road North of Fort William is busy . There is a cycle path for stretches but it is slow progress on road bikes, more suited to Mountain bikes. http://www.pewseys.co.uk
