Route Cycling the Alps Cormet d'Areches (2108m)  

Very nice road, but it looks like that some parts of the road are grafel (if I see some pictures in google-maps), is this correct? Is it really possible to do this with a racing bike? Thanks!

Hi Bart, You are right there is about 4,5km of gravel road on this pass but even motorbikes are riding this pass as well. I have not cycled it myself yet but I think it is doable even with a racing bike. If you don't like gravel at all don't cycle it because 4,5km is pretty long then. Cheers, Dennis
