Route Spitzberg Clockwise Loop  

Fun mountain bike ride out of Biel. The ride takes a wonderful, narrow and fun singletrack above the lake and heads to Gaicht with a loop up to the Twannberg from where one heads down to Lamboing. Lamboing is a good place to refill water bottles at one of the many fountains. The ride continues with a climb above Diesse, first one pavement then on a hiking trail which passes through the line of fire of a local shooting range and around the western side of the Mont Sujet. If you like steep, take the hiking trail up to the Mont Sujet, otherwise follow the paved one lane road which wil bring you close to the top. The Mont Sujet offers an awesome view to the Alps and doesn't get much visitors. A downhill to Les Pres d'Orvin follows from which a rooty and rocky downhill is taken to head to the Jorat. Biel is reached by climbing to Evilard from where there's a multitude of options to bomb down into town.
