Über diese Sammlung

Inspired by the success of the Tour de France, an editor of “La Gazzetta dello Sport” first had the idea to hold a bicycle race through Italy. The first Giro was held the following year, in 1909. Today, the annual event is known as one of the most epic and exciting bicycle races in the world. The overall race leader is determined after the conclusion of each stage, and gets to wear the “maglia rosa”, the coveted pink jersey. As every year, we are in for a thrilling race with plenty of variety: individual time trials, spectacular mass starts, emotional sprints and gruelling summit finishes are all part of it!
