Day 9, 74 miles from Shrewsbury to Monmouth

September 9, 2006. We had ideal weather to enhance the picture-perfect countyside of Shropshire and the Welsh Marches and all put Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Monmouth on the list of places to which we would like to return with our significant others in the future. We stayed at the Punch House, a very old pub on the town square in Monmouth, where the staff had to scramble to provide sustinace (wine, bread and cheese) during a two hour power outage over supper hour.
