Day 11, 65 miles from Huntspill to Moretonhamstead

September 11, 2006. The weather was good all the 73 miles of hills from West Huntspill (Somerset) to Moretonhampstead (Devon). Our route took us through Bridgewater, and then through rural roads north of Taunton and then along the B3181 (much of the "old A30") along the M5 to downtown Exeter and  lunch at the Pizza Express in front of the Cathedral. After 25 more miles of pedalling, Moretanhampstead was quickly added to the list of towns to visit with with significant others, and the White Hart, recently rennovated by investor Peter de Savery (who had just done £30 million of improvements to nearby Bovey Castle) would be a good place to stay for those who did not want to spend the $500 a night at Bovey.
