This 25th section of St Ninian’s Way starts at Paisley Abbey. Go north to Gauze Street, turn right and up Moss Street, and then on to Love Street (600m)), and then, onto Inchinnan Rd, continue north, with the river on the right to the tunnel under the motorway (2.5k), then north, with airport on left to bridge over White Cart Water (2.5km). Continue north along footpath with golf course on right to junction with the river, Clyde (2 km) , then turn right and keep on footpath and quiet roads on the south bank of the Clyde to Renfrew Road (5.km). Continue along road to roundabout where it joins Govan road (1km), then continue along this road to Bells Bridge, a footpath over the Clyde (6km). Cross bridge and take footpath east along north bank of the Clyde to Victoria Bridge (5km), then go north and east along Bridgegate, then north along Saltmarket, High Street and Castle Street to St Mungo’s Cathedral (2km).
Quiet and varied with great views over the Clyde.
