Ironton Rail Trail

Full length of Ironton Rail Trail from Chestnut Street trailhead parking lot in Coplay, to newly-connected ending at North Whitehall Township building off Mauch Chunk Road near Ironton.

This route is divided into the loop (around Coplay and Hoqendauqua) and the spur, from the upper left corner of the loop out to the North Whitehall Township building near Ironton. The entire loop trail is paved, and the spur is paved until Portland Street as of summer 2016. A section has been newly opened in summer 2016 from Portland Street to Mauch Chunk Road, which is gravel/crushed stone at this point.
