Über diese Route

Starting and ending at Chiang Dao Nest (obviously you can start finish from other places too - I just have a personal bias towards the Nest!) this is a relatively flat, 50km-ish, figure of eight cycling loop along mostly quiet roads (avoiding the 107 and the Chiang dao Bypass). Mostly paved roads but enough unpaved roads to recommend a MTB for this. For a mostly non-stop journey it is a good half-day trip. Can easily be a full day as it takes in a number of places of interest including Chiang Dao Cave and some Hilltribe Villages, Temples, and lots of great views of the mountains both close up and from afar. You can always detour into Chiang Dao town centre, maybe for lunch?
