Day 11a Inawashiro to Washikurayama, 福島市

Given the tendencies of the app to quit and not save (probably my phone issue more than the app . . who knows) I saved when I got to the top of the pass. (The drop toward the lake was to get coffee and snacks at 7-11). There wasn't much open on the rest of the route, so I was glad to have them. No toilets or vending machine at the actual pass (as so often there is in Japan), but a couple of nice onsen just a bit beyond to the east. (fyi did run through a troop of monkeys 40+ on the road before too long after the top of the pass. It was fine - but I'm not a fan)
