Weser Radweg Süd-Nord in 8 Etappen

The Weser Cycle Route is considered one of the most beautiful river cycling routes in Germany, stretching nearly 520 km from the Weser Uplands to the North Sea. On this long-distance cycle route, starting in Hann. Münden, you first cycle through the Weser Uplands. Here, a mid-mountain landscape defines the scenery, and the Weser meanders through a river valley around various ridges. At Porta Westfalica, the Weser breaks through the ridge of the Weser Hills, transitioning into the Mittelweser region. The river, and thus the cycle route, no longer lies in a narrow valley but passes through wide, open landscapes to Bremen and further into the Wesermarsch region up to Nordenham. From there, the Weser ferry operates to Bremerhaven. The main route continues from Bremerhaven through the Cuxland region to Cuxhaven, while an alternative route runs from Nordenham along the coast of the Butjadingen peninsula to Eckwarderhörne. Between Hann. Münden and Nordenham/Bremerhaven, cycle paths largely run on both sides of the river.
