Overview

About this tour

Classic waterfront riding around Manhattan. It’s fully paved and mostly on separated cycleways, with a few shared path and short access-road bits. Hop on anywhere and ride a section or make a day of it.

Expect big river views, skyline shots, parks, and piers as you roll past neighborhoods from the Battery up to Inwood and back. The path feels easygoing most of the way, with occasional ramps, underpasses, and tight spots near busy parks.

Good for sightseeing, commuting, or a relaxed spin. Weekends and sunny evenings can get crowded, so be ready to slow for joggers and walkers on shared segments. Bring lights for the shaded tunnels and a bell for busy stretches. If you need a break, there are plenty of spots to pull over by the water.

In short: a smooth, scenic, city loop that’s friendly for most riders and great any time of day.
