About this tour
Long, relaxed loop through the Südheide around Gifhorn – start and finish in Neubrück. The route is mostly flat and passes through pine forests, heathland, fields and quiet villages. The surface and paths are mixed: lots of asphalt and well-rolling side roads, plus longer stretches on gravel and forest trails, some cobbled sections and brief periods of heavier traffic – ride attentively. Ideal for trekking and gravel bikes; only recommended with reservations for road bikes. Can be done as a long day tour or split into two easy sections.
Tip: Especially atmospheric during the heather bloom (late summer). Plenty of rest spots and shaded sections, so pack snacks and enjoy the peace. Since it’s a loop, you can start in Neubrück in either direction.
