Greenbelt Cycle Route

A collection of 11 cycling routes.

Overview

About this collection

0

A flexible collection of rides that follow the Greenbelt theme, mixing smooth pavement with a few gravel and loose-gravel stretches. Expect a blend of quiet roads, some busier connectors, dedicated cycleways, and paths, plus the occasional pedestrian area where you’ll roll slow and give way.

Pick a short, chill segment or link multiple sections for a bigger day out. Confident riders will be fine on the road bits; newer riders can stick to the path and cycleway sections. A road or hybrid bike works great—wider tires (around 30–35 mm) make the gravel parts easier.

Tips: plan ahead to favor low-traffic segments, bring lights for the busier links, and be ready for surface changes like concrete, paving stones, or a short wooden boardwalk. Start wherever it’s convenient and ride as much or as little as you like—simple, adaptable, and a solid way to explore by bike.
