By bicycle from Sham Shui Po to Tsuen Wan

This scenic ride takes you from Sham Shui Po, one of Kowloon’s most vibrant districts, to Tsuen Wan, a lively New Territories hub. Starting in Sham Shui Po, known for its bustling street markets and famous electronics mecca (Golden Computer Arcade!), you'll weave along a mix of quiet roads and access routes, with a bit of hustle and bustle on some busy stretches. The route spans just over 15 km, so plan for a couple of hours with breaks.

You’ll tackle a fair bit of ascent and descent—about 350 meters up and down—so be ready for some hills, especially noteworthy when you skirt the foothills near Lai Chi Kok and Kwai Chung. The surfaces are mostly paved and solid (asphalt and concrete), but some sections lack clear surface details, so keep your eyes peeled for changes under your tires.

Finishing in Tsuen Wan, you can unwind along the waterfront park or enjoy some local eats. Tsuen Wan is also historically interesting as one of Hong Kong’s earliest satellite towns and offers great sea views. Perfect for urban explorers wanting to see the city from a different angle!
