Cycling day trip from Arrecife to Haría

Kick off your ride in Arrecife, Lanzarote’s lively capital, with its charming harbour and whitewashed architecture. After a quick pedal through town, you'll soon be cruising out onto quieter roads, leaving the bustle behind as the Atlantic breeze follows you north.

The route to Haría is about 33 km of ever-changing scenery—expect a bit of everything under your wheels: some smooth asphalt, plenty of gravel, and a handful of rustic paving stones. Nearly half of your journey is along peaceful country roads, though there’s a fair share of rugged tracks as you climb up towards Haría.

Don’t underestimate the ascent—over 600 meters of climbing will get your legs working, especially as you approach the lush valley that wraps around Haría, nicknamed the “Valley of a Thousand Palms.” The views of volcanic landscapes and distant coasts make those climbs worthwhile.

Finish in the relaxed village of Haría, known for its palms and sleepy, artsy atmosphere. It’s a great spot to grab a cool drink and catch your breath under the shade before exploring local craft shops or heading back south.
