Cycling day trip from Ilanz to Chur

This ride takes you from Ilanz to Chur, weaving 39 kilometers through some of Graubünden’s most stunning Swiss landscapes. You’ll leave Ilanz—the scenic "first town on the Rhine"—and follow the dramatic curves of the Rhine gorge, sometimes called the "Swiss Grand Canyon." Expect a real workout, with over 1,200 meters of ascent and descent; there are a few hearty climbs and fun descents along the way.

Most of your journey is on paved roads or asphalt, with some stretches of gravel thrown in for a bit of adventure.
