By bicycle from Veere to Kamperland

This relaxed 14 km route starts in the charming historic town of Veere, famous for its picturesque harbour and impressive 15th-century Grote Kerk. You’ll roll out along smooth cycleways and quiet roads, soaking up Zeeland’s quintessential Dutch views: grazing sheep, wide open fields, and sparkling water. The terrain is almost completely flat, so it’s ideal for a leisurely ride—no need to brace for any serious climbs!

As you approach Kamperland, keep an eye out for the Oosterschelde storm surge barrier in the distance—a feat of Dutch engineering that keeps these low-lying lands safe and dry. The village of Kamperland, home to friendly cafes and access to beaches on the Veerse Meer, is a great spot to unwind at your journey’s end. Most of the route is paved or asphalt, making for comfortable cruising. Don’t forget to scoop up some local Zeeland cheese or a sweet treat in either town!
