By bicycle from Vienna to Vösendorf

This ride takes you from Vienna’s majestic city center, with its grand boulevards and rich imperial history, southward to the quieter suburb of Vösendorf. Covering just under 15 km, the route is pretty friendly to most cyclists, featuring a nice mix of smooth cycleways (about 45%, so lots of relaxed spinning) and some quiet roads. You’ll roll past the edge of Vienna, glimpsing everything from city parks to peaceful residential corners.

Expect a few gentle ups and downs, but nothing too tough – overall, the elevation change is pretty mild, so it’s suitable for regular riders and fit beginners. About three-quarters of your journey is on paved or asphalt surfaces, with the occasional patch of gravel to keep it interesting.
