Cycling day trip from Wirdum to Emden

This pleasant 24 km ride takes you from the quiet village of Wirdum down to the lively port city of Emden, right in the heart of East Frisia. With hardly any elevation (top out around 6 meters!), the route is a gentle roll through classic northern German landscape—think big skies, lush green meadows, and those endless fields dotted with cows and windmills.

You’ll spend most of the route on well-kept bike paths and quiet roads, so it’s peaceful pedaling all the way.
