Cycling day trip from Röbel to Rechlin

This ride takes you from the charming lakeside town of Röbel to Rechlin, winding through the heart of the Mecklenburg Lake District. Starting in Röbel, known for its picturesque old town, colorful half-timbered houses, and the historic St. Mary's and St. Nicholas churches, you’ll quickly find yourself pedaling along mostly quiet roads and easy paths—perfect for soaking up the scenery rather than watching for cars.

The route is about 21 km, mostly flat, and paved for the smoothest of spins (bonus points for the stretch along Müritz’s shore!). Look out for glimpses of the Müritz National Park’s forests and lakes along the way. Shortly before you reach Rechlin, you’ll spot signs for the Luftfahrttechnisches Museum—a nod to the area’s aviation history.
