By bicycle from Oberschleißheim to Bogenhausen

Set off from Oberschleißheim, famous for its grand Baroque palace and lush palace park, and cruise your way south towards Bogenhausen, one of Munich’s prettiest and most elegant districts. This ride is just over 15.5 km, mostly on smooth pavement and quiet roads, making for a relaxed and enjoyable spin.

You’ll wind through a mix of peaceful paths (over half your route!) and quiet residential stretches, with only a tiny bit of gravel to keep things interesting. Along the way, you’ll pass the fringes of Munich’s northern green belt. With just under 60 meters of gentle ascent, it’s a pretty steady ride—great for getting in a bit of exercise without any thigh-burning hills.

Your destination, Bogenhausen, is known for its leafy boulevards, grand 19th-century villas, and the beautiful Isar riverbanks. Perfect for grabbing a coffee or just unwinding in one of its many parks.
