By bicycle from Meiderich to Hochfeld

Hop on your bike in Meiderich—a northern Duisburg neighborhood known for its industrial history and links to the gigantic Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord. From here, you’ll head south toward Hochfeld, covering just under 8.5 km. The ride is a comfortable cruise with little elevation change, making it perfect for easy pedaling—ideal for commuters or anyone looking for a scenic, laid-back outing.

You’ll mostly stick to paths and cycleways with a nice mix of surfaces: expect smooth asphalt for almost half the trip, plus some stretches of paving stones and a bit of gravel for variety. About three-quarters of the route is paved, with a section or two on quiet roads and even a pedestrian area near the end.
