Cycling day trip from Meersburg to Lindau

This beautiful ride takes you from the picturesque town of Meersburg to the vibrant island city of Lindau, all along the northern shore of Lake Constance (Bodensee). Starting in Meersburg, known for its fairy-tale hilltop castle and charming old town, you’ll roll out on mostly quiet, paved roads with minimal climbs – just enough to keep things interesting, but nothing too serious.

The route hugs the lakeshore, giving you plenty of photo ops of glistening water and Alpine foothills. There’s a mix of cycle paths and peaceful country roads, making it easy to settle into a comfortable rhythm. Don’t forget to stop in towns like Friedrichshafen for a coffee or a peek at the Zeppelin Museum.

After just under 48 km, you’ll arrive in Lindau, famous for its historic harbor, Bavarian charm, and the stunning lighthouse and lion statue at the water’s edge.
