By bicycle from Laatzen to Langenhagen

Kick off your ride in Laatzen, a lively suburb just south of Hannover, known for the huge Hannover Messe exhibition grounds and its relaxed green spaces. From here, you’ll set off on a roughly 19 km route north to Langenhagen — another of Hannover’s popular satellite towns, famed for its proximity to the airport and the lovely Silbersee lake.

The ride is smooth for the most part, with the route weaving through paved paths and cycleways (so you won’t need to worry much about rough surfaces). You’ll pass through a mix of town neighborhoods, patches of greenery, and quieter roads, with very little busy traffic to contend with.

There’s just a little bit of up and down, but with only about 25 meters ascent and more descent, it’s a gentle ride that’s great for all experience levels. Once you arrive in Langenhagen, reward yourself with a stroll around its pleasant parks or grab a coffee in the town center. Perfect for a relaxed piece of suburban cycling around Hannover!
