By bicycle from Gramkow to Wismar

This scenic cycling route takes you from the small village of Gramkow all the way to the historic Hanseatic city of Wismar. It’s a pleasant 11 km ride—just long enough to stretch your legs, but not so tough that you can’t enjoy the view.

The route is mostly paved (with a good chunk on smooth asphalt and dedicated paths), so it’s perfect for just about any bike. You’ll pedal through gently rolling countryside, with a modest 53 meters of ascent and a relaxing 62 meters of descent—nothing too challenging, even for a Sunday spin.

Gramkow itself is a peaceful little starting point, surrounded by fields and forests. As you approach Wismar, get ready for a bit of history: Wismar’s old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its beautiful brick Gothic architecture and lively harbor atmosphere.
