Cycling day trip from Dülmen to Münster

This relaxed ride takes you from Dülmen to Münster, meandering through the heart of Münsterland’s lush countryside. Starting in Dülmen—a town famous for its wild horses and peaceful parklands—you’ll enjoy smooth cycling, with almost the whole route paved and the majority on quiet cycle paths. With just a few gentle ups and downs, it’s an easy cruise suitable for most riders.

As you go, you’ll pass through farmlands, old villages, and scenic woodlands. Take a breather in one of the villages, or just soak up the rural vibes as you approach Münster. The city itself is a renowned cycling capital, packed with students and home to a beautiful old town and the historic Prinzipalmarkt. With about 35 km to cover, it’s a perfect half-day adventure, and thanks to that smooth paving you won’t be rattled around.

Don’t forget to park your bike at Münster’s famous Fahrradstation when you arrive, and maybe finish off with a coffee at one of the cozy cafes lining the cobblestone squares.
