Cycling day trip from Bremerhaven to Cuxhaven

Set off from Bremerhaven, a lively port city with a rich maritime history, and head north along a mostly paved, easy-going cycling route to Cuxhaven. The ride covers just over 48 km, following quiet roads and peaceful paths, with only gentle ascents and descents—perfect for a relaxed day’s ride. You’ll pedal through the flat, wide-open landscapes of northern Lower Saxony, passing dykes, green meadows, and occasional glimpses of the Wadden Sea.

Most of the surface is asphalt or pavement, so you won't need a mountain bike, but be prepared for a few stretches on gravel and concrete. The journey has a lovely rural vibe, and with so much of it on dedicated paths and quiet roads, you can really soak up the scenery.
