By bicycle from Bad Vilbel to Eschborn

This ride takes you from Bad Vilbel, famous for its mineral springs and charming old town just north of Frankfurt, over to Eschborn, a business hub with plenty of green parks on the outskirts of the city.

You’ll roll out of Bad Vilbel’s cozy center and quickly find yourself on quiet roads and tracks—perfect for anyone who likes a peaceful spin without too much traffic. About 18 km later, after some gentle climbs (just under 150 meters of ascent, nothing too tough), and a breezy descent, you approach Eschborn, known for its thriving business district and proximity to the Taunus hills.

Surface-wise, expect mostly smooth going with lots of asphalt and paved paths. There are a few gravel stretches, but nothing that a standard hybrid or road bike can’t handle. Most of the route uses quiet roads and paths, with occasional tracks through fields or wooded patches, so it's a relaxed journey great for anyone looking for city escapes or a commuter challenge. Take a quick break in one of Eschborn’s parks before hopping the train back or heading onward!
